Riverlodge Motel Nelson is seeking a dynamic Motel Manager to oversee all aspects of our operations. The Motel Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the motel, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, and managing a team of dedicated staff members.

**Hourly rate: $30**

**Hours of work: 40-50 hours per week**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of motel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety throughout the motel.
- Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and efficient manner.
- Monitor and manage motel inventory, including room availability, supplies, and equipment.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract new guests and enhance customer loyalty.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, revenue management, and cost control.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategic plans for business growth and development.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience or a Level 7 or higher tertiary qualification in business management or marketing is required
- Previous experience in motel or hospitality is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including reservation and property management systems.
- Knowledge of local tourism attractions and amenities is an advantage.
- Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Must have legal work rights in New Zealand.
