**About the opportunity**

This is a permanent role where you will be working an average of 50 hours per week. Reporting to our Farm Manager, your key responsibilities will include the below:
Milking 600 spring calving cows through a 50-bale rotary shed with ACRs, in shed feeding and Protrack
- Feeding out
- Break fencing
- Recording and documentation of activities carried out on farm
- Weed control
- Farm maintenance
- Tractor work
- Other farm tasks as required

You will assist in making sure the farm, our vehicles and the shed are maintained to a high standard and that the property improvements are managed in a timely manner.
Key focuses of the role:

- Support strategic decisions being made on farm.
- Always ensuring a high level of Animal Health and welfare
- Maintaining accurate records of stock, Animal Health, grazing, and effluent management
- Complying with the requirements of the Health & Safety in Employment Act
- Ensure environmental compliance is met or always exceeded

You will be a self-starter and be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team with a passion to learn and grow. What sets you apart from the rest will be your confidence to get the task done, no matter how small, or large and you won’t be shy to ask questions to further your knowledge and personal development.

You will also ideally bring to this role:

- Some formal farming education would be viewed favourably (Certificate, Diploma, ITO training etc) - but not compulsory
- Excellent attention to detail and a pride in workmanship
- A genuine passion for farming and a drive to learn more
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Take pride in the presentation of the farms, as well as have a good sense of humour
