Position: Sawmill Forklift Operator
Location: Kennington
, Permanent
Guaranteed 40 hours of work, plus OT as available - anticipated hours of work Monday - Thursday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Competitive compensation

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient movement of timber throughout the sawmill. Your primary duties will include stacking timber, transporting packs to storage areas, outfeed and other similar duties. This dynamic role demands multitasking skills and efficiency to meet our high production standards and targets. Our sawmill nightshift colleagues are supportive and encouraging; the team collectively look forward to welcoming a new team player to the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate 5 to 8 tonne forklifts, moving and stacking timber packets ensuring a seamless production flow.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the stacker and bin sorter area.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and self-motivation.

**Requirements**:

- Hold a current OSH approved Forklift certificate and F endorsement.
- Proven forklift experience, preferably with 5 to 8 tonne forklifts.
- Ability to thrive and remain efficient under pressure.
- Drug-free workplace; pre-employment drug screening required for employment.
