**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
You will be leading a team of Electricians and Technicians in Dunedin working on local and state highways road corridor infrastructure and commercial electrical in Dunedin and the Otago region. Providing services including construction, maintenance, and fault diagnosis/rectification.

You will have proven ability to monitor performance, motivate your team to deliver within timeframes and budgets with a focus on quality and safety.

Demonstrating natural leadership skills, you will enjoy coaching team members and become a valued mentor to assist your people in their career development and to deliver results for our customers.

Within the Dunedin ITS Team, you will provide direction, leadership, and management of specific projects, delivering on project requirements, optimizing resource use to achieve the following outcomes:

- Reporting to an ITS Project Manager, you will be responsible leading a team of Electricians, Apprentice Electricians (and other general duties staff) to undertake a wide variety electrical work in accordance with contract requirements - both planned and reactive.
- Actively Promotes, Leads and Supports a Zero Harm Culture
- Projects are delivered to client’s satisfaction, on time and within budget
- Development of a strong and motivated team
- Ensure stakeholder relationships are enhanced
- Lessons learned and strategies developed to take forward to future projects
- Must have a strong background in commercial electrical
- Seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team. Must have relevant certifications and a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a commitment to quality work are essential.
- To carry out associated tasks as required on Traffic Signals and Intelligent Transport Systems
- To carry out maintenance and repairs and new & existing lighting installations to be completed promptly and efficiently
- There is a strong expectation to grow the Otago business with HR, Recruitment, ITS Contract Manager, National ITS Operations Manager & National ITS Manager assistance
- Other general duties as directed.

This role requires the flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside the general location of work will be required, shift work, night work, weekend work with a commitment and dedication beyond the usual working week.
