Our Sector Digital Channels team plays a pivotal role as a catalyst for change in our nationally enabled services. Our mission is to create digital solutions that are both cost-effective and sustainable, revolutionizing accessibility through user-friendly digital self-service options and assisted channels. Through automation and seamless integration, we aim to ease the burden on our workforce.
Our team proudly takes the lead in managing, delivering, and offering unwavering support for all our national external services. These services, curated by Data and Digital, are tailored for entities beyond Te Whatu Ora and Manatū Hauora. Additionally, our team champions the development and oversight of APIs that foster interconnectedness across the various systems and services employed by external parties.
This opportunity is to join us in an 18 month Fixed Term capacity, embedded within the Public Health Operations IT (PHOIT).
**Mōu | About you**
As a Test Lead within our Quality and Testing team under Data & Digital, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our technology services to support Te Whatu Ora priorities.
Your main focus will be overseeing all quality aspects of projects or programs for Te Whatu Ora by planning, tracking progress, managing outcomes, and addressing any test-related risks or issues that may arise. Depending on the project's needs, you will determine the necessary testing scope and types to ensure top-notch results.
At the heart of our role is championing success. You will lead a team that ensures quality standards are met, serving as an example by embracing core framework principles and best practices to drive excellence. You're here to ensure that our technology solutions meet the highest quality standards.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A tertiary qualification relevant to testing, solution engineering or software development.
- A clear understanding of the development lifecycle and the importance quality, compliance, governance and strategy management are to effectively deliver positive outcomes.
- An understanding of critical success measurements and cost benefit analysis, estimation and sizing techniques.
- Demonstrate critical milestone management and planning.
- Management experience within large programmes of work across government and private sectors dealing in both simple and complex technical and environmental solution using On-Prem and/or Cloud solutions.
- Skills to effectively mitigate and re-engineer planning to absorb unforeseen circumstances and maintain overall objectives without risk.
- A pragmatic and forward-thinking approach to meet both tactical and strategic objectives.
- Skills to develop and nurture stakeholder management at all levels internally, and externally.
- Communication skills and management to provide visibility both formally and informally.
- Ability to rapidly understand the mechanisms of an organisation to add value, and deliver without delay.
- Technical hands-on experience across integrated platform solutions and complex integration infrastructures.
- Previous experience in the healthcare sector.
- Release or change management experience.
