Company Description
The Warehouse is the brand that began it all. Founded in 1982 by Sir Stephen Tindall, the first ‘red shed’ challenged established retailers and proved popular with customers as a result of its simple style, and wide range of products at bargain prices. The Warehouse Group has since become a Kiwi household name and continued to evolve to a group of brands, with team members and stores nationwide. We proudly continue to live our purpose of ‘Helping Kiwis live better every day”.
A role with lots of scope, variety, and opportunity to get into the thick of the organisation, we’re seeking a multi-talented Corporate Affairs professional to join our team.
**Job Description**:
We’re looking for someone with Corporate Affairs know-how and experience, who can turn their hand to both internal and external storytelling and engagement. This is a broad-ranging and influential role which involves working effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both within TWG and outside, in order to grow and build our brand and reputation and deliver our business outcomes. We are open to this role being full time or part time - 30 - 40 hours a week.
Your leadership, commercial and communication skills will be exceptional, and you’ll have a track record of making a difference where you work. Your proven ability to build and maintain a range of relationships including core advocacy and influencing skills, work independently and proactively will all be key indicators of your success.
**Qualifications**:
We’re looking for a confident Corporate Affairs professional. You’ll have experience dealing with stakeholders on controversial and complex issues as well as having highly developed communication skills - written, oral and interpersonal, as well as an ability to influence, persuade and present effectively to diverse audiences.
With experience in either in-house internal and external communications or agency-side, you’ll be comfortable leading projects, developing strong, effective relationships with our partners and key stakeholders. You will be a capable storyteller with a passion for people and culture and a creative flair for best practice communications and engagement. You partner and build trust quickly - we’ll rely on your excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills as you hit the ground running working cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders across all levels.
You’re a self-starter, full of enthusiasm, curiosity, professionalism and a good sense of humour is a must. Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori is highly desirable.
