If you’re a shepherd looking for your next step or want to step up to a larger property and have a genuine desire to learn and grow, this role is for you. Rangitaiki Station is a large-scale sheep, beef and deer operation centrally located approximately 35 minutes east of Taupo. The role sits within our sheep and beef system, and is part of a wider team of 20+ people on the station

The sheep and beef system is on flat to rolling contour with intensive grazing systems running a breeding and finishing system based around 8800 romney ewes, 400 MA cows & 750 Once-Bred Heifers calving down.

Rangitaiki Station is driven by production and performance as well as developing people. We have on-farm training programmes for all staff if they’re keen to learn. We want to lift performance and develop our capabilities - and we bring people along with us. There’s so much going on here that there’s always something new to learn and be involved in. You’ll learn a wide range of skills if you’re interested. There is career progression not only on this farm but within Pāmu as an organisation.

We offer an attractive salary with additional benefits such as medical and life insurance, and all PPE provided by us. Housing options available include a 3 bedroom home or a 2 bedroom cottage.

Pāmu provides a safe workplace and the successful applicant will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and undergo a criminal background check prior to being appointed.
