CARTERS Porirua has a great opportunity in their yard team for someone who has forklift experience and would be keen to gain their HIAB licence to be a back-up driver for this busy team. Versatility is important for this branch and so we are committed to providing you with the neccesssary training and support to obtain your HIAB licence.

As a Yardperson, your primary role is all about providing exceptional service to our trade customers in a timely, professional and safe manner. This is a fast-paced physical role where you will be driving a forklift to load building product onto delivery trucks and servicing our customers within our timber yard store areas.

Your strong work ethic and desire to learn will be beneficial as you look after the local trade community by:

- Meeting and greeting customers
- Quickly and efficiently picking, assembling, and loading orders
- Processing sales documentation
- Loading and offloading vans and delivery trucks
- Stock Management, tidying shelves and stock counts as part of stocktake

- Entry-level computer skills
- Physically fit
- A valid FULL NZ Driver's License is Essential
- Having a forklift license is preferred (possessing F endorsement & OSH Certificates are advantageous).
- Prior experience in a comparable yard environment is preferred.
- Having knowledge of the building industry is beneficial.
