Our Tauranga team is currently seeking an experienced Water Engineer to become an integral member of our Northern Water Business Group.

**Key responsibilities will include**:
Assist with 3 Waters related projects including the following:

- Core function includes investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater and multidisciplinary projects, provides support for project management.
- Mentoring and Coaching - Provide guidance to graduate design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them
- Technical Leadership - Provide technical input to projects - Including review QA/QC of project deliverables
- Knowledge - Keep knowledge and competencies current, guide staff and contribute to GHD Global Knowledge Base
- Quality Assurance - Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables
- Inter Operating Centre Support - Support internal service groups and regional offices. Provide supporting role as one GHD across the business
- Take part in Client Liaison, understanding the client’s needs and managing the project and the project team to achieve these.
- Manage sub-tasks on projects to deliver them on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the internal or external client

Qualifications:

- BE Civil, Environmental or related qualification

Specific skills and knowledge:

- 3 plus years industry experience or in consulting
- Working knowledge of public and private sector
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
- Organised in multitasking of self and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Flexible in your approach to challenges
