We are currently seeking part-time Support Workers who would be confident in providing individual support to young men either in the family home or with their interests out in the community.

**What does a Support Worker do?**

As part of our Whānau Support team, you will work specific rosters designed to ensure our people are supported to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. This is a busy and diverse role supporting people to do the things they want to do. Hours and activities are specific to each young man but tasks can include:
School age men with:

- Support after school with homework and recreation.
- Assisting and sometimes transporting young person to and from after school sport or community activities for socialisation.

Young men with:

- Building confidence and connections to join local groups and start looking for work
- Assisting or taking young person independently to and from local shops and sometimes cafes.

**We are looking for people who has**:

- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to get out into the community and positively support activities
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Experience working with youth is advantageous
- Availability to work after school hours and/or weekends
- Full drivers' license essential and access to a vehicle is preferable.
