Telecommunications Technician

**We have vacancies for 3 Telecommunication Technician who would be working in Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui.**

We require you to perform the following duties but not limited to:

- Providing ongoing operational support for troubleshooting, optimizing telecommunication network performance at all terminals including FAT, ABFFP, Network Cabinet, and Customers’ end.
- Installing Fibre wiring as required, including cable runs through buildings and ceilings.
- Resolve, repair and install fiber optics systems, ensuring that they work properly.
- Examine and replace faulty and/or old fiber optic cables.
- Organize scheduled maintenance routines.
- Take care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas.
- Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections, so that a faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance.
- Execute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements.
- Keep track of the signal strength of different devices including: television, telephone, and high-speed internet.
- Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the minimum guaranteed hours are 30 hours per week. The pay rate is $29.66 per hour. Depending on the work load we may require you to work from Monday to Saturday and 30 plus hours
