Ahir Music Academy about music lover in New Zealand, Auckland. We teach learner about how to play various music instruments. We specialized to teach India classic music in raga and gurmat Sangeet. We are looking for 1 (one) Music Teacher to teach Tabla (Drum) to our students on a full time permanent role. The role is full time permanent, based in Auckland region, you will be paid $29.70 to $32 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
The role will include:
- Planning, preparation and delivery of individual music lessons.
- Recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students.
- To communicate effectively with learner and parents, as well as colleagues.
- To teach ensembles as required.
- To offer extra-curricular activities to promote instrumental playing and musical engagement.
- Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual students, and groups of students.
- Assisting with the co-ordination and organisation for concerts and events, where required, and in relation to leading ensembles.
- Participating, as required, in meetings relate to the curriculum and developments.
- Maintaining good order and discipline among the learners and safeguarding their health and safety both when they are on premises and when they are engaged in authorised activities elsewhere, as required.
- Auditioning and selecting musicians
- Selecting music for performances and assigning instrumental parts to musicians
- Directing musical groups at rehearsals and performances to achieve desired effects such as tonal and harmonic balance, rhythm and tempo
- Studying and rehearsing repertoire and musical scores prior to performances
- Playing music in recital, as an accompanist, or as a member of an orchestra, band or other musical group, from score and by memory
- Performing music according to interpretation, direction and style of presentation, using highly developed aural skills to reproduce music
Experience and Education
Person with relevent educatio or experience will be preferred
