As a member of the Security Management Team, your primary focus will be to oversee the delivery of Te Whatu Ora - Te Toka Tumia Auckland's security services delivery to ensure all of our Healthcare Security Officers (HSOs) are well-informed, appreciate the importance of, and are equipped to play their part in ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors.

As our night lead you will ensure your team are well-informed, well-prepared and effective at mitigating and responding to security incidents and risks. You will be passionate about ensuring your service team grow and develop in capability and are always aligning with our values.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

Given the importance of this role, we are seeking someone with seven years’ experience as security manager or team leader in a large complex government organisation.

You will have a NZ Certificate in Security Level 4 or equivalent recent experience and a background in the health sector will be a distinct advantage.

You will be described as someone who has a high level of accountability, is an excellent decision maker under pressure and always leads by example.

We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

We are part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
