At Gisborne Hospital our pharmacists are responsible for a range of operational and clinical pharmacy services including (but not limited to) in-patient dispensing, chemotherapy clinical review and dispensing, medication reconciliation, provision of medicines information to patients and staff, participation in multidisciplinary meetings and ward rounds, weekend and on-call roster as well as helping in the training and development of trainees and other staff.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the multidisciplinary team focusing on medication safety to implement the Health Quality & Safety Commission initiative. We will provide you with exciting work experience and offer you a platform to gain valuable clinical pharmacy knowledge. We are also very supportive of any further training or education you wish to pursue. We reward past experience, qualifications and skills and will offer remuneration accordingly. The remuneration range for this role is $80,292 - $113,282 and is covered by the collective agreement: Hauora Tairāwhiti Support Services Collective Employment Agreement

Successful applicants can prove a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy recognised in New Zealand with a NZ pharmacist registration and a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Overseas pharmacists will be considered if you can meet the requirements to receive a work permission._
