**About the Role**

We are looking for a Production Supervisor for our concrete factory based in Hornby. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a production team. You will work alongside the Production Manager in leading the manufacturing and site activities. Your duties will include:

- Leading the shift to achieve production targets and goals
- Ensuring adequate resources are available for effective execution of the production plan
- Inventory control
- Completing reporting
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are followed and investigate any incidents
- Conducting and recording regular safety toolbox talks
- Ensuring a wide range of lean manufacturing approaches are implemented
- Completing one on ones with all team members 6 monthly including development plans and reviewing goals
- Training staff (new staff members and ongoing training for existing team members)
- Coaching and developing the team members

This roster is Monday - Friday based, however at the moment Saturday mornings will also be required as the team are extremely busy This role is on a permanent basis and we are looking for somebody who wants to stay long-term and is interesting in progressing within the company.

**Skills & Experience**

Due to the nature of the role, to be successful in this role you will need:

- Experience in a concrete manufacturing facility is essential
- Effective communication skills and ability to be a decision-maker
- Good leadership and people management skills
- Strong IT skills - you will be working on computers daily
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Understanding of accounting principles and employment legislation
- Self-motivated and proactive
- To be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
