**Why we need you & what you will be doing**

We are looking for 7 Software engineers to work with our team.

This is a full time permanent role with 40 hours per week.

**What we are doing**:
Precision Data are working closely with a client who are doing a Risk assessment of payment transactions and this role is around upgrading their current platform, it is on some VM's (virtual machines) and needs upgrading versions.

The Proactive Risk platform is responsible for real time and near-real time risk assessment of payment transactions. The client is currently upgrading the platform and improving the automation of deployments. Our upgrade work will also see us improve the resiliency and reliability of the overall platform.

**What you will need to be successful**
- System administrations and building CI/CD pipelines on AWS platform and UNIX
- Create Jenkins pipelines to provision infrastructure and deploy any other changes
- Create Terraform modules
- Create Chef recipes to configure VMs and PRM
- Maintain observability using current industry practices
- Maintain monitoring and alerting using current industry practices
- Maintain an instance of Jenkins
- Create virtual servers for Application migration and onboarding
- Mentor other platform engineers in the team.

**Requirements for the role**
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 3 + years of IT industry experience
- Linux and Windows virtual machines - Linux is a must have
- Experience in creating CICD pipelines
- experience in integration and api developments
- Experience engineering fault tolerant, resilient systems that are observable, monitored, and have alerting
- Linux and Windows system administration
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platform engineering tasks
- Experience creating automation with a configuration management tool in either Chef, Ansible, or Puppet
- Experience provisioning infrastructure with a infrastructure as code tool or framework like Terraform
- On call (including after-hours) support when required and agreed
- Minimum hours of work per week is 40 hours

Note - Minimum salary for the role - $110,000 and maximum Salary is $145,000

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
