**About the Role**

Reporting to the Site Leader, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Maintenance Fitter to lead the maintenance function by ensuring high quality maintenance services are provided in a timely, efficient, and cooperative manner. You will be supported by a Maintenance Fitter who will directly report into you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and schedule work in conjunction with the Site Leader and Production Manager to ensure machine/plant availability and best engineering practices are achieved within monthly budget.
- Manage and purchase parts and consumables, to ensure their availability, within designated budget
- To assist in the management of the site’s maintenance and capital project budgets
- To assist in the management of the site’s maintenance and capital project budgets
- To ensure the site maintains statutory obligations (Safety, Health & Environment)
- Ensure Quality & Food Safety with respect to machine maintenance & process engineering
- Provide leadership to the Maintenance Fitter & contractors onsite
- Developing and improving equipment management strategies using a suite of reliability approaches
- Complete RCAs to learn from unplanned equipment failures
- Assist maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve plant issues
- Conduct and assist with Root Cause Analysis, determine root cause of equipment failure, and assist with putting in place actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Prepare cost and schedule estimates, makes recommendations as to the methodology, equipment, and material requirements as per asset life engineering

**What are we looking for?**

The experience and skillset best suited to this position includes:

- Engineering degree or recognised trade certification
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar
- Experience with CMMS. MEX advantageous
- Proven experience with successfully managing people
- Ability to analyse complex issues and problems and develop feasible solutions
- A safety focus encompassing people, plant and systems
- Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units, functional areas and external stakeholders
- Strong Technical Engineering aptitude
