**Role**

The focus of the Enterprise Architect is to work with key stakeholders at a senior management level to shape and influence the design and development of capabilities to achieve the business objectives. This role spans responsibilities in Enterprise Architecture and Integration Architecture collaborating with the Digital and IT business units and business units to identify means to achieve the delivery of the business strategy.
- Interprets critical business drivers, conducts research, maintains an understanding of current technology and business trends, consults and participates in peer review to develop long-term plans and provide a framework for decision-making in respect of capability deployment.
- Responsible for researching, analysing, selecting and reporting on the costs and benefits of specific technology opportunities, involving the reporting of findings and making recommendations on innovative solutions to the Digital Lead, IT Manager or Chief Transformation Officer.
- Responsible for the overall architectural design of the core business systems to ensure alignment between business goals and core business capabilities.
- Develops models and plans to drive forward the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance.
- Develop integration strategy, architecture, and design to support strategy development, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance.
- Supports the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal customers.
- Supports policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency, as required.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communications channels with internal customers and external suppliers.
- Communicates appropriate strategies, roadmaps and plans that align with and enable business objectives and strategies.
- Shared responsibility with the Digital Lead and Information Technology Manager to establish and implement; Domain modelling and Domain Driven Design; Integration standards, API standards, design methods and best practices; DevOps approaches and practices.
- Co-ordinate design activities, promoting discipline to ensure consistency, as required.
- Within a business change programme, work proactively to maintain consistency in integration practices.

**Required**
- Extensive experience in the ICT industry.
- Extensive Solutions and Integration Enterprise Architecture experience.
- Proven experience in implementing an Enterprise Architecture framework.
- Ability to build the technical strategy, vision, dream, and planning but then able to get into the details of how it is done.
- Experience building or moving to new technology stacks like microservices.
- Experience in Business Architecture and capability design and development within the Financial services industry.
- Experience of Programme Management, especially in dealing with simultaneous programmes of work.
- Demonstrated experience in communication and problem-solving with senior-level management.
- Previous experience of working successfully at a senior level in the Financial services.
