- Location: Aukland, NZ
- We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join a well established and respected team in New Zealand. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects by prioritising and planning to ensure the effective delivery of projects and service requests.**Responsibilities**:
- Setup suitable, compliant project management practices, processes, and team members to successfully deliver projects.
- Oversee the implementation and delivery of all projects in line with project scope, timeframe, and pre-agreed budget.
- Provide consolidated reporting as requested.
- Finalise the preferred sub-contractor list for New Zealand. Participate in formal contract negotiations with the nominated parties and assist with the ongoing management of the selected contractors.
- Ensure variations are managed effectively with sales via the correct change order process.
- Setup and hold project meetings with internal and external parties as required and/or attend meetings as required.
- Provide project status updates to internal and external parties and report as requested.
- Ensure adequate resources are allocated to the project as required plus engage and manage any subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure works are carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.
- Ensure that contractor activities are properly coordinated.
- Ensure that resources are managed efficiently daily by allocating specific tasks to each team, overseeing progress and raising any issues or delays to your Line Manager.
- Coordinate onsite work according to priorities and plans, allocate general and daily responsibilities and monitor attendance of crew.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and maintain momentum and motivation of the teams.
- Proactively identify changes in work scope and assist in reassessing and amending the scope of work requirements or timeline if required.
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and that relevant meetings and toolbox talks as specified by the client are attended.
- Identify materials and equipment that may be required and ensure that resources have the required tools and materials as and when needed to perform the tasks efficiently.
- Ensure all projects are run in line with the established project budget and report any anomalies to senior management.
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
- Resolve problems when they arise or escalate as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate reporting as requested.
- Influence teams and inspire others to achieve our goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
- Undertake other duties if requested.

**Requirements**:
- Suitable industry certifications and/or experience.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and Health and Safety requirements.
- Understanding of electrical, data, and [wider] cabling systems.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Attend scheduled meetings outside of contracted hours as requested as part of the base salary.
