We are currently seeking a Kaitātaiako Facilitator, a Māori student support role model, who has commitment, drive and energy to work with and for ākonga Māori studying towards a vocational qualification.

**Kaupapa | Purpose**

The purpose of this role is to:

- Plan and deliver kaupapa Māori activity (academic, social, pastoral) for ākonga Māori to engage in life and learning at Toi Ohomai - Te Pūkenga
- Work collaboratively to facilitate activities which improve ākonga experience and success at Toi Ohomai - Te Pūkenga
- Ensure activities are contextualised and consistent across our campuses
- Support the functions of the directorate and the wider organisation to ensure tikanga and kawa practices are upheld with mana and integrity

**Ngā Mahi |** The Work

This role will provide to ākonga Māori:

- Student-facing academic support and advocacy
- A range of activities aligned to the learner journey

**Pūkenga |** Skill

To be successful in this role you will:

- Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with ākonga and kaimahi
- Have an understanding of the educational sector and be potential focused
- Deliver kaupapa-Māori based activities proven to make a difference
- Be able to travel across Toi Ohomai's Bay of Plenty and South Waikato campuses
