**Wall & Floor Tilers required all throughout Waikato region**
Our business at OneStaff Limited is growing, and we are looking for Experienced Wall & Floor Tilers for multiple roles These roles require organized and trustworthy individuals. Quality workmanship is a must and something that you pride yourself on. You will need to be reliable and motivated. You might be asked to work across the country to assist with our projects, so flexibility on work locations is preferred.
The normal duties to be performed comprise all activities related to covering interior & exterior surfaces as such wall & floor by laying tiles including ceramic, clat, slate, marble & glass to provide protection & decorative finishes including but not limited to:
Duties include:
- Examine plans to determine the tiling methods and materials needed.
- Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be tiled.
- Clean & prepare surfaces by removing old grout & cements, levelling off surfaces with plaster, sand or cement.
- Make & lay adhesives onto prepared surfaces & tiles and setting tiles in position.
- Cut, shape tiles to a certain size or shape using the tile-cutting tools to fit the tiles in edges and corners in accordance with tiling plan.
- Fixing the tiles, grouting the gaps between tiles and removing excess when required.
- Carry out finishing work, where necessary.
- Clean tile & the work area once placed and completed.
- Decorate and style such as laying in coloured pattern creating mosaic as required.
- Keep the workspace, equipment & tools clean.
- Maintain health and safety requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience required:
- 3+ years relevant experience OR relevant qualification
- Friendly, with good time management, and excellent work ethic are essential
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
- Good understanding of Health and Safety best practice
- Reliable and hardworking
Pay conditions Min $29.66per hour to a maximum of $31.00 per hour
Hours of work: Minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed.
Location: You may be required to work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu including Horowhenua, Wellington including the Kapiti Coast, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury.
