Tauhara Geothermal Station will be a 168 MW geothermal plant, New Zealand’s most significant renewable investment. We have also recently announced the expansion of our Te Huka geothermal plant by a further 50MW. These projects are only the first part of a broader pipeline of geothermal projects which include ensuring ongoing generation from the Wairakei geothermal field and further investment on the Tauhara field, so we are not short of market leading renewable projects for you to get involved in.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

As a key member of the Reservoir Development team your focus will be to provide input for our conceptual understanding of geothermal reservoirs, including conceptual modelling and providing geoscience advice to support drilling activities

You will also provide support to the wider Geothermal Resources and Development team where you provide geoscience insight to support the development of our geothermal business.

**Some of the day to day mahi you will be involved in will consist of**:

- Ensure geothermal fields are utilised for long-term sustainable operation in line with best practice and Contact‘s strategy, while maintaining effective and efficient delivery of fuel.
- Contribute to the integration of the inputs of a number of disciplines to develop conceptual models, including 3-D geological models, that provide a sound basis for reservoir modelling to provide insight into the long term operation of our geothermal developments.
- Interact regularly with the team’s geologists, reservoir engineers, geochemists, geophysicists and reservoir modellers to ensure continuity between the reservoir models and field data, as well as providing recommendations for additional data gathering in the testing campaign to aid reservoir management workflows.
- Review and assessment of results gathered to inform reservoir strategy including assisting with the development of reservoir models to guide our future development strategy.

**Qualifications**

**This won’t be your first rodeo Some of what you will bring**:

- Relevant degree in geoscience, engineering or equivalent qualifications and appropriate professional registration.
- Working experience in a relevant industry
- Skills and experience in commercially available reservoir evaluation tools, in particular Seequent Leapfrog.
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with external parties.
