As a result of our continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced** IT Systems Engineer to join us on a full-time permanent basis in Christchurch. **Your work will support our hotel teams across New Zealand and report to the IT Infrastructure Manager based in Hind Management's Auckland support office. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with IT Support / Helpdesk experience looking to grow their career with lots of exposure to projects in a well-supported environment.

To succeed in this role you will be customer-oriented and cool-tempered, have the good technical knowledge and able to communicate effectively to understand problems and explain solutions. Providing prompt technical assistance on systems, responding to intermediate technical issues offering practical solutions. The goal is to create value for your internal customers, allowing our teams to continue delivering a seamless guest experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the first point of contact for internal team members seeking technical assistance within Hind Managed sites.
- Take ownership of IT issues, and ensure delivery excellence in customer service
- Provide IT support (remote and on-site) and resolve technical issues
- Travel from time to time outside the region as required for project work.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Follow-up and update customer status and information
- Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures and or products
- Report to IT Infrastructure manager at Head office

**Requirements**:
**Preferred Qualifications & Experiences**
- **Must hold IT Certification such as COMPTIA A+, COMPTIA Network+ (or similar)**:

- At least 2-3 years of working experience at : Desktop & network Support, Active Directory, Exchange basics, help desk technician, IT support role or similar, hotel environment a bonus
- Solid experience with LAN and WAN networks; including networking tasks involving VLANs, Routing, DHCP, DNS
- Knowledge with setting up IOS, Android Smartphones and Tablets
- Knowledge & experience on wireless networks; maintenance and troubleshooting wi-fi connectivity issues.
- Experience working with cabling and patch panels is essential.
- Knowledge of Service Management and Operations processes is desirable
- Knowledge on AV systems would also be beneficial
- Experience in incident, problem and change management processes

- Good time management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely at times.
- Proven ability to work across teams, and build and maintain effective relationships
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills (phone, interpersonally and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize, work to deadlines, and remain composed under pressure
