**About the role**
We're looking for a **Survey Technician** to join our Tauranga office. Supported by job training and professional support, this is a brilliant opportunity to join our Survey Team to deliver high quality solutions for our clients across a wide range of land development and civil projects.
Collaborating with tech-savvy Senior Surveyors, you will learn how to develop the latest concepts, recommendations and solutions that can be tested against recognised survey principles. You will be involved in topographical surveys, land transfer surveys, tenancy lease area surveys, construction set out, monitoring of ground and structures, laser scanning and more.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting field surveys and collecting data using the latest surveying equipment and techniques.
- Analysing survey data and preparing detailed calculations and reports.
- Collaborating with Senior Surveyors and the Survey Manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of a diverse range of projects.
- Maintaining and calibrating high-tech surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all fieldwork and office documentation.
Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
**Your skills and experience**
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or similar.
- 3+ years surveying experience in New Zealand, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Proficiency in modern surveying equipment and software (Total Stations, GNSS, drones, 12d Model, AutoCAD).
Valid driver’s license (for field travel).
