**Introduction**:
Bring your specialist knowledge to our Clinical Communications Centre working in a mixture of paramedic road and clinical hub shifts.

**Description**:
This is a permanent role based in our Clinical Communications Centre (CCC) reporting to the Clinical Hub Manager.

You will need to possess strong communication skills to engage effectively with staff at different levels of seniority, to explain to others, rationales, options, advice in an easy-to-understand manner (written, verbal and telephone based). Exceptional communication skills are one of the key success factors as CPA’s provide advice to the CCC dispatcher, TMC and re-triage calls to manage incident responses safely and appropriately.

We are proud of the place we hold in our community, and the high-quality, leading-edge patient care that our people deliver every day. As well as providing emergency paramedic care, we have paramedics who are part of the Life Flight crew and rescue squad, as well as operating the 111 clinical communications centre for our region and providing patient transfer services. We respond on average to around 57,000 emergency incidents per year.

Who we are looking for

**In addition, you will also need**:
A Bachelor’s Degree (BHSc) in Health Science (Paramedic) or equivalent Authority to Practice at Paramedic Level
A current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council (or evidence of submission made)
A minimum of 12-18 months experience working in an emergency ambulance service frontline role (independent practice at paramedic level) is preferred
Well-developed communication skills including written, verbal and listening skills
Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to relate comfortably and confidently to a diverse range of people
Strong resiliency, able to adapt to constantly changing environment with a positive and proactive attitude.
