**Job Summary**:
We are looking for **a TWO full time (40 hours a week) Panel Beater / Estimator** to help us take the business to the next level in the automotive panel & refinish environment. We require someone who has solid knowledge and experience in panel beating, estimating with leadership abilities and is looking for the next step in their career. You will be an integral part of our growth strategy with plenty of opportunities for you to shine in full function panel beater/estimator duties. Your focus will be to complete vehicle collision estimates as per the work providers guidelines, while simultaneously working with the manager and employees to understand daily production outputs, ensure that the vehicles are finished to the standard required and delivered on-time. Essential part of the duties is ensuring all staff know what expectations are and all the parts to complete vehicles are available on site. You will communicate timely progress to clients and give feedback to staff to maintain and improve team morale. Other responsibilities include quality check, parts procurement, audit and compliance.

- Represent the Company and act in a professional and ethical manner at all times
- Ensure all major collision estimates are completed in a timely manner (with 24hrs)
- Regular professional frontline communication with all stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance company processes and computer systems
- Ability to load estimates onto insurance company programs and negotiate with insurance assessors
- Work with the certifier/engineer, provide all the relevant documentation and images to ensure smooth workflow
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers as part of delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Ensure robust quality checks, stock maintenance and management, audit and compliance, and Health & Safety in line with company policies and protocols
- Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop
- Assist Management, Collision, Refinish and Grooming staff to achieve company goals
- Assist Management with the planning, monitoring, and evaluating production daily, weekly and monthly schedule
- Ensure all parts are available when required, and that there is seamless movement between departments of the business
- Communicate daily production meeting progress and/or problems to line management
- Re-organize workflows to ensure production levels are maintained
- Work with the Panel & Paint Workshop Manager to ensure quality and delivery expectations are meet
- Understand and use current ibodyshop software program
- Take digital images of the entire repair process
- Read, understand and communicate Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) repair specifications
- Ensure vehicles are returned to pre-accident damage as per the OEM repair specifications
- Maintain a good understanding of current OEM steel and composite martials used in modern vehicles
- Maintain a good knowledge of vehicle body parts, electrical, mechanics and accessories
- Use measuring system to ascertain extent of the damage to vehicles
- Train the Panel beaters to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers.
- Communicate staff issues with line manager as soon as the arise
- Maintain a good working relationship with all employees and management
- Carrying out all reasonable instructions from your Line Manager
- Changes can be made to the above with consultation

**Job Requirements Experience, Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience in the automotive panel and paint industry
- Previous supervisory or even 2IC experience would be an advantage
- Solid knowledge and experience in panel beating
- Trade qualified Automotive Panel Beater
- Attention to detail and action oriented
- Technically competent with ability to train others
- Customer service ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and make qualified decisions
