**Description**:
About the role: You will be responsible for supporting the Quota Manager to lead the allocation of quota across both Sanford and Contracted Fishing vessels. A key part of your role will be to monitor and analyse catch data to ensure compliance information is maintained and to assist the business with catch planning and targets that enable proactive decision making. **Your role will include**:
- Advancing a safe workplace culture and the ongoing development of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing journey
- Coordinating Quota Allocation across both Sanford and Contracted Fishing Vessels
- Monitoring and analysing catch data, providing information to key stakeholders to assist with catch planning and targets
- Ensure quota and compliance information is maintained or disseminated as required, including the management of quota and vessel compliance documentation
This role requires the ability to be organised, methodical, analytical and accurate. To understand the data you are working with and be able to communicate information to internal and external stakeholders to support in proactive decision making.
Skills and Attributes: Sanford is not looking for a specific background for this role. You could come from the marine / fishing industry, accounting, banking or procurement background but what you will have is a broad range of complementary skills and the right attitude. As you will be liaising extensively with both internal and external stakeholders you will need good management, planning and communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships. You will be capable of dealing with pressure and reacting to unforeseen events. You are resourceful, able to multi-task and prioritise. Good computer skills are essential (especially Excel) and the flexibility to work across a number of platforms is necessary. You are commercially astute, love working with data and thrive on ensuring compliance obligations are achieved.
