The emergency Department is seeking clinical coaches for a fixed term role running over six months.

Our Emergency Department is one of the busiest in Australasia with over 110,000 adult and paediatric patients per year providing a wide range of clinical experience. It is a modern purpose built facility providing a wide range of clinical care and is one of two major trauma centres for the Auckland region and supports the National Burns centre for New Zealand

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (Proficient or Expert) to join our Emergency Department team to support and provide clinical guidance for our current team and New Graduate Nurses.

As the clinical coach you will role model excellence in clinical practice and assist and support the growth of the Nursing staff with a focus on nursing assessment, planning, implementation, communication and evaluation of care.

The clinical coach will work rostered shifts to maximise education and coaching opportunities for staff.

To be successful in this role you should have a strong commitment to leading professional development, quality and Whaanau centred care and a passion for education.

Essential:

- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Proficient / Expert level PDRP
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Medical / Acute Care
- 3 years’ experience post registration (in a variety of clinical settings)
- Trained Preceptor

Desirable:

- Post-graduate qualification in progress
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Primary Health Care
