**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

This newly created position has it all from being the lead technical visionary to the real life data guru. You’ll be responsible for enterprise data management, including shaping the data domain at an enterprise architecture level. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, data teams and others in the technology and architecture practices to ensure we have sound, quality and fit for purpose data solutions by:

- Being responsible for the definition and supporting delivery of the enterprise data technology roadmap, as part of the overall roadmap to deliver great data experiences for Contact;
- Maintaining and communicating up-to-date knowledge of approaches, technology standards, industry trends, skills change, and emerging technologies within your area of expertise;
- Maintaining and supporting effective data governance processes, policies, standards, guidelines and principles;
- Using your skills and expertise the leverage the latest technologies, to design a best in class, scalable, flexible and secure data architecture environment.

- Worked in a changing environment and adjusted quickly to re-aligned priorities while maintaining a view to the future and overarching principles of the data eco-system
- Conveyed information to, and influenced, those in the wider architecture practice and business stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Built and maintained constructive, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- As an experienced Data Architect you’ll have:_
- Extensive experience in designing, architecting and implementing large scale data processing, storage and distribution systems
- Ability to design complex Enterprise Data Models/Schemas/Flows/Pipelines
- Strong skills and experience in data governance, data quality, data integration and data security
- Extensive experience working with traditional databases technologies (e.g. Oracle, SQL server), large scale enterprise systems (e.g. SAP ERP) and also the latest cloud based data technologies (e.g. AWS solutions)
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence, get buy in from and build strong relationships and trust with technical experts, and senior business stakeholders.
