**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

As part of Corporate Support Services, the Print, Category and Distribution team is dedicated to enhancing service offerings for Council Controlled Organisations (CCO). The focus is on cost reduction by streamlining processes to lower costs, establishing a reliable delivery system, and creating a centralised portal for all needs. The team ensure consistent quality and performance through brand standards.
The services include access to a digital storefront, in-house print facilities, stationery and PPE ordering, printer/copier management, and mail distribution.
The team is committed to data-driven performance analysis and scalable solutions to save staff time and improve service delivery.

As a Print Intern, you will
- gain proficiency in operating printing equipment (e.g., copiers, printers, guillotine, and bindery machines)
- understand print workflow and file management,
- learn basic design and layout and imposition skills (e.g. using graphic design software)
- enhance your attention to detail, colour and quality control.

Embark on a journey of professional growth and hands-on experience with the Auckland Council Internship Programme. Designed for students in their penultimate year of a bachelor's degree, or in a continued masters programme, this paid three-month summer internship, running from 18th November 2024 to 14 February 2025, offers full-time work that aligns with your field of study.
You'll engage in meaningful work, contributing to the development of Auckland as a world-class city, while receiving career development opportunities.

As an intern, you'll be immersed in a supportive environment, with mentorship and networking opportunities that pave the way for a potential future within the council. You’ll be part of Auckland Council’s internship whānau and will be supported every step of the way by a team who want you to succeed including a buddy, liaison, Careers Team, and the wider intern cohort.

Upon completion, interns may receive priority consideration for the Graduate Programme, setting the stage for a robust career start.

You are a motivated and eager-to-learn individual with an interest in print technology. A NZ restricted driver's license is desirable but not mandatory
- NOT be in your first or final year, of a relevant Bachelor’s degree. Be eligible to work in New Zealand full-time from November 2024- February 2025
