Telecommunications Technician

Novatech Limited specialises in installation, maintenance and repairing electronic

communications equipment in telecommunications networks and internet supply systems.

We are currently seeking 2 Telecommunication Technicians to join us

Your job duties may include but not limited to the following:

- Fibre and cable laying from boundary to premises.
- Diagnostics of faults in cabling and/or in equipment.
- Performs site surveys.
- Assesses and documenting current site network configuration and user

requirements.
- Diagnosing and resolving network and system faults to ensure optimal networking

functionality.
- Setting up the LAN for customer's equipment to the industry specifications.
- Accurately test fibre (multi-mode and single mode) cable to required certification

Integrating and configuring telecommunication devices and tools to industry

standards. Connects fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between network

outlets.
- Thrusting and underground cabling for residential customer's, consenting & open

trench work.
- Pole Climbing.
- Other tasks assigned by the employer.
- Complying with health and safety.

You will be working in region Gisborne. We will also require you to work Manawatu/

Whanganui, Taranaki and Hawk's Bay. We require you to work guaranteed minimum hours

of 30. We may require you to work up to 40 hours per week. The role is full time permanent.

We operate Monday to Friday between 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM. We offer a wage rate of $29.66 per

hour.

Pay: $29.66 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
