**The Faculty of Business & Economics**
Housed in the state of the art architecturally designed Sir Owen G Glenn Building, our top-ranked, triple-crown accredited University of Auckland Faculty of Business and Economics is seeking to recruit established and early career academics to join its world class faculty. It is the largest Faculty of Business and Economics in New Zealand and has an international reputation for academic excellence. It comprises seven academic departments with a strong reputation across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. We support exceptional, internationally recognised faculty who are characterised by their desire to make a difference to business and economics in New Zealand, the global economy and society more generally. The University has recently set a new strategic plan, Taumata Teitei, which can be interpreted from te reo Māori as pursuing excellence, despite uncertainty. All academics within the Faculty of Business and Economics will be based in disciplinary areas that form part of larger academic departments, you will have responsibility for delivering high quality, relevant and impactful learning experiences that maximise employment outcomes for graduates. Your understanding of academic and business environments and engagement in co-curricular activities relating to business, will help deliver wider economic benefits. The disciplinary areas are intended to provide a supportive and collegial environment for all researchers and to ensure focused mentoring for early career researchers.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
- act as a "core champion", connecting core courses to their respective departments and Disciplinary Areas within the Business School.
- Ensure our core courses reflect key and current discipline-specific content based on the latest research findings.
- Advocate for transdisciplinary and relational teaching methods within their respective departments.

Remuneration - $91,000 to $109,000, this will be depending on experience.
This is a **permanent, fulltime**(40 hours per week opportunity).

The Department of Economics has been a part of the University of Auckland for almost a century and home to many distinguished New Zealand economists, including AWH “Bill” Phillips. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate training in Economics within the Business School, the Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Science, allowing students considerable flexibility in taking advantage of our course offerings.
