**About the role**

Flourishing in a supportive environment your culinary skills will thrive working at The Village Palms Retirement Village located in Shirley, Christchurch. You will be working Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 4pm.

**Duties Include**:

- Creating hearty, quality home cooking for a restaurant environment
- Ensures meals are prepared to high quality, in a timely manner, and are presented attractively, in line with the agreed menus.
- Contributes to the design of special function menus
- Ensuring excellent food quality is maintained and consistent portion size and presentation are right for residents.
- Complete stock audits for food ane equipment on a regular bases, and ensures stock deliveries are checked, dated and put away as appropriate.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Three plus years cooking experience
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Food industry qualification and First Aid certificate preferable
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation.
