In this multi-functional role, you will be a key senior member of our Transmission & Distribution team dedicated to leading and engaging with our clients to deliver technically challenging multi-disciplinary projects.

This is a new specialist director level secondary design role in combination with integrated project management and delivery to support the growth of our NZ energy practice.

**What will a day in this role look like?**
- Checking and approving secondary design and protection settings
- Reviewing and providing input into bids and pursuits; actively participating in business and strategic planning activities to identify opportunities to continue the growth of the business in the short, medium and longer-term.
- Mentoring team members in their development, facilitating opportunities that build competency, and assisting with professional accreditation where appropriate.
- Undertaking design management roles in multidisciplinary projects; ensuring integrated design through effective communication and coordination with other disciplines.

**Qualifications** What are we looking for from you?**
- Degree qualified in electrical or power systems engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 15 years’ HV substation design experience including IEC61850 configuration
- Protection settings experience is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-discipline projects and meeting delivery requirements
- Proven client relationship management and business development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
