The Opportunity
Knight Group is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team in their New Plymouth office. If you are passionate about building relationships and developing business, you will enjoy this position.
The Sales Manager is built around relationships, and you will be part of high performing team, responsible for growing and retaining their portfolio of clients. You will be seeking new opportunities within their core market, managing existing clients, providing solutions and advice on products, delivering demonstrations and product training as well as those duties listed below.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Leading the Sales team and paving the way with a solution/ relationship based selling approach. Be a strong leadership presence; a passionate and engaging sales, customer service and account manager.
- Sales strategy and Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives. Generating new business using customer network and analyse market segments for growth.
- Sales performance analysis: Recommended strategies for enhancing sales performance and achieving targets. Setting and tracking teams targets and KPI's.
- Sales operations: Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reports. Identify challenges and optimise sales processes.
- Customer relationship management: Understanding client needs and visions. Developing and maintain successful relationships with clients and key accounts.
- Training and Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to your team.
- Direct management of specified Key accounts
- ERP System: Responsible for ERP system (Harmoniq) training and ensuring the continuous improvement and up to date training of the team.

- Ability to motivate, mentor, and coach staff and effectively manage performance.
- Giving sales presentations, attending trade shows and giving product demonstrations.
- Travel required to visit key accounts and events across NZ.
