**Job description**:
If you are an experienced Waste-water Serviceperson keen to join our New Plymouth team, we want to hear from you.

Citycare Water delivers services for the maintenance of the Councils wastewater networks, and we are looking for experienced drainage staff as well as staff from similar backgrounds to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

We are looking to recruit Waste-water Servicepeople to join our team that will be carrying out both reactive and planned work. This may include some of the following tasks, inspecting and clearing assets, repairs and maintenance, open drains, laying pipes or installing manholes and other associated works.

**About you**:
Ideally, you can demonstrate previous experience in maintaining storm water and/or wastewater (sewer) systems or experience within the construction or utilities industry.

You will be physically fit, health and safety focused, able to work well in a team as well as independently, and have a pro-active hands-on approach to things.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and particularly encourage residents of the Taranaki area to apply.

Your involvement with the community, knowledge of the local area, and motivation to join us in supporting and building stronger, safer and healthier communities will set you apart.

Remember - you will be joining a wider team of people providing safe drinking water, managing our wastewater network, and minimising flood-risk for our communities.

**Skills and experience**:
You will be required to have some of the following attributes and the willingness to grow and learn new skills:

- A current full Class 1 or 2 licence and an ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Able and willing to participate in the on-call and standby roster
- Previous CCTV experience in the Stormwater and Drainage Networks (desirable but not essential)
- Previous drain laying experience (desirable but not essential)

**About us**:
Citycare is a leading provider of construction, maintenance and management services across New Zealand's built environment. We work around the clock - building, maintaining and managing our nation's parks, gardens, sports fields and cemeteries, waterways and coastal areas, buildings and public facilities, roading networks and water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

At Citycare we know that our people make us great, and we are proud of the work we deliver to keep our communities thriving and safe, 24/7.

We learn and grow with our people and support them in their professional development; we're on a journey to create better places and stronger communities and are calling for local talent to walk the walk with us.
