We have a permanent part-time position available working 64 hours a fortnight (0.8FTE) as rostered across all shifts.

As a Health Care Assistant you will be part of our dedicated nursing environment with full support. Your role is to work within the team to assist nursing staff in care delivery, one-to-one patient watches and other tasks as directed.
- The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $51,770 to $61,540 based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience & relevant qualifications._

We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills, a mature outlook and the ability to get on with a wide variety of people. They will also have the ability to work in a flexible and methodical manner, demonstrating honesty and reliability, and use of appropriate initiative.

Experience within the health sector is preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.

**Qualifications**
- Essential_
- Year 11 NCEA level 1 English (or equivalent)
- Year 11 NCEA level 1 Maths (or equivalent)
- NZQA level 3 qualification (or equivalent)*
- Desirable_
- Home Carer Certificate (or equivalent)
- Mandatory requirements:_
- NZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Health Assistance Strand, _if not previously obtained_, _is_ _to be commenced once orientations have been attended._
