My client is one of the leading civil construction companies in New Zealand, specialising in foundation, piling, ground improvement, remediation, structure and managing projects as designed build ventures. They have been operating for over 35 years with over 200 staff across Auckland, Tauranga and Christchurch.

**About the role**:

- Attend daily pre-start and toolbox talk meetings.
- Carry out daily checks on machines and carry out routine maintenance.
- Report any damage to tools, plant or machinery immediately.
- Assess sites and drill platforms regularly.
- Assist with work permits and lift plans & any other pre-work documentation required.
- Operate plant and machinery in a safe operation.
- Provide information to Project Manager/Foreman for progress as required.
- Maintain and ensure that all site vehicles are kept in good order.
- Assist managing the site when required.
- Attend training required to upskill for the role (WTR, Class 2 drivers licence, ongoing competency assessments.)
- Fulfil all other duties set out by the Foreman/Project Manager.
- Any other tasks if and when required to assist the CCL team.

**About you**:

- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience in the civil construction industry
- Experience with Soilmec, Leibherr, Geax and Bauer machinery
- Restricted/Full clean drivers licence
- Any trade certificates is an advantage
- A good knowledge of hydraulics, electrics and their systems
- Self-motivated, honest, fit and reliable
- Good communication skills and a team player
