Courier Driver

We are looking for a class 1 driver for our courier run in the Marlborough region.

The position is full time and ongoing within operational hours of 6am - 5pm, with a start time of 6am Monday-Friday, and a finish time dependent on workloads, road conditions etc, but not later than 5pm on any given day. On occasion there may be Saturday work required, as well as public holidays particularly over Christmas and New Year. The pay rate for this position will be $29.66 per hour.

The role will entail:

- Sorting parcels at the depo
- Unloading and loading parcels between trucks and vans and at customer address
- Delivering and picking up of parcels from businesses and residential areas across Blenheim/Marlborough
- Following exact routes, areas and timetables to deliver goods to the correct address on time
- Efficiency and high-energy within a fast paced environment
- An ability to pass a drug test
- A clean conviction record
- A full, clean class 1 drivers license with no demerits
- A dangerous goods license
- Physical fitness, to be able to lift up to 25kg, lifting, pushing and pulling parcels by hand and trolley
- Tidy and presentable and with good communication skills as the role is customer facing
- Hardworking, honest, reliable and with attention to detail given the time sensitive, high paced nature of the role
