Cardiac Technician

MidCentral is seeking an experienced qualified Cardiac Technician to participate in the development of cardiology services.

**The Opportunity**

This is an **exciting** opportunity to participate in the expansion of cardiology services at MidCentral and enhance the delivery of cardiac care across the central region.

The cardiology service provides CT Cardiac Angiography, Cardiac MRI and Sesta Mibi scanning. The service is supported by a strong specialist nursing and allied health workforce, existing cardiologists specialise in pacemaker and reveal implantation, Sesta MIBI and cardiac imaging.

The Cardiac Technician role provides service to outpatients and inpatients by providing technical expertise, specifically within Clinical Cardiac Exercise Testing, holter monitoring and BP monitoring.

This is a **full time/fixed term** role for twelve months.
- Certification in Physiological Measurement (CPM) via the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology.
- Relevant Clinical Cardiac Technician work experience.
- Previous experience in BP and Holter monitoring and Exercise Stress Testing
- Registration with the CPRB as a Cardiac Physiology Technician.
- Proven communication skills.
- Pleasant, courteous and sensitive communication with patients.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Commitment to quality improvement.
- Proven technical aptitude.
