Occupational Hygiene Associate

**The role**
We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Hygiene Associate, to join our Safety, Health, Hygiene & Environment (SHHE) team. You will be reporting to the SHHE Manager and working with the wider People & Culture team and business.
You will support our Occupational Hygienist in day-to-day tasks through anticipating, recognising, evaluating, and controlling health hazards in the workplace. Our objective is to protect our employees health and well-being and the impacted community in alignment with relevant legislated workplace regulations and standards.
You will mitigate short, and long-term employee health effects arising from both acute and chronic exposure to workplace hazards.
You will support with the development of systems and procedures for Occupational Hygiene management and compliance. You will support with recommending initiatives that will eliminate or significantly reduce risk to our people, products and environment.
You will accurately measure and sample levels of exposure, often through precise use of specialist equipment, you will also interpret results and determine risk. You will establish relevant occupational hygiene KPI's and promote Hierarchy of Control in all activities.

**You will be**:

You will have a science degree (preferably in Occupational Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Health & Safety or Chemistry). You will be eager to learn, your attention to detail will be strong and you will be driven to achieve results.
