- Transport / Logistics / Drivers**We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Inventory Manager to take on a role which will over see and govern the inventory managers nationally**
This position will play a pivotal role in the delivery and practice of inventory management taking place nationally. With two direct report, who're both based in Auckland, the role will oversee this team and ensure the requirements of each customer requirements is met in alignment with deadlines, the management of inventory governance practices, and compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage inventory teams, ensuring efficient task completion.
- Maintain cross-coverage arrangements for optimal resource allocation.
- Conduct accurate cyclic counting based on agreed frequency and customer requirements.
- Oversee the entire stock take process, from planning to reconciliation, with detailed reporting.
- Improve inventory accuracy through investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Provide internal reports on counting status, accuracy, and inventory variances.
- Act as the main contact for customer inventory meetings and handle escalations effectively.
- Ensure alignment between physical inventory, WMS, and customer systems.
- Facilitate staff training and cross-training initiatives for inventory functions.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and customers to report inventory variances and status.
- Support internal teams in developing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Stay updated on system functionality, customer solutions, and evolving processes.
- Conduct internal audits and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Provide senior leadership in Logistics and oversee the Domestic operation.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong customer focus and commitment to meeting their requirements.
