Our team is expanding Te Whatu Ora Whanganui is seeking a new General Surgeon to join our team. You will work within a team of 5.5 surgeons to provide surgical services for the people of the Whanganui rohe/region. Ideally you will have a sub-speciality interest that compliments the existing skills in the department.

This position would be ideal for a newly qualified surgeon as the team is willing and able to;
- help get you over the line for conjoint recognition if you like scoping (scopes are essential here, but if you not yet fully independent we can support you)
- work with you on big cases (there is the option of double consultant operating within the team)
- grow your experience with the wide variety of pathology covering a range of specialties - very interesting
- provide great registrar support - the registrars are keen as beans
- The role can be busy and challenging at times, but you've passed your exam, you're tough, right?
- a great work life as you get your own regular schedule, 1 full day operating, two scope lists, clinic and part of consultant on call roster.
