Come and join us in our state-of-the-art laboratory based at Mangere We have a fantastic new opportunity for the **Sample Reception and Purchasing Laboratory Technician** to be part of our fun-loving and dynamic team Quality and Food Safety team.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Sample Reception and Purchasing you will be part of the Laboratory team. The role will focus on achieving Danone Nutricia SN Quality & Food Safety objectives by processing laboratory samples and purchasing supplies for the laboratory in accordance with prescribed standards as well as making recommendations for continuous improvement.

You will:

- Maintain sample receipt, sampling, and storage areas as per
- GMP/GLP/GHP/GDP requirements in case of delays.
- Provide in-house and 3rd Party laboratories with accurately registered and
- clearly labelled samples.
- Dispatch samples for testing at internal and 3rd Party Laboratories.
- Manage retention samples as per SOP
- Log in samples promptly and accurately.
- Sample raw material, semi-finished goods, and finished product samples as
- per submission sheet or sampling plan.
- sampling products.
- Collect and sort samples received by the laboratory.
- Follow approved processes, SOPs, and instructions for sampling of finished products and raw materials.

About you
You will have a Diploma in Office Management & Administration or equivalent or BSc, majoring in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Sci or equivalent. You enjoy working with details and have great initiative when it comes to supporting the team.

To be successful in this role, you will a have:

- Experience performing sample registration and sampling in a laboratory or production environment or Office administration/purchasing in a Laboratory environment
- Time Management and Prioritizing
- Strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work in a fluid environment
- Working knowledge of GLP, GMP, GHP, GDP, ISO 17025
- Computer skills (MS Office Suite) and ability to learn and adapt to new software tools. LIMS, SAP experience desirable.
