My client is a leader in the plastics product industry, servicing some well-known companies throughout New Zealand. They are seeking to employ a Die Setter for their dayshift operation, based in Avondale. This is a hands-on role, in a technical plastics manufacturing environment.

**About the role**:

- Preparation start up and running of Plastic injection moulding machines
- Provide a full and proactive injection moulding and machine setting service to the Shift by setting jobs (changing tools and tool versions).
- Ensure the improvement of product quality and delivery performance is a key driver.
- Basic tool and machine maintenance.
- Process optimisation and improvements.
- Process troubleshooting.
- Run the MRD of the 80s Taps and Fitments.
- Delivery of customer orders (achieving KPIs and team targets).
- Monitor the level of downtime on machines and use the Production Schedule to prioritise workload and plan changeovers.
- Maintaining Health and Safety Best Practice at all times.

**What do you bring?**:

- NZCE/ PAMPITO, Competenz or equivalent engineering qualification
- 5+ years' experience working in the plastics industry.
- Experience working with injection moulding machines, operations, setup and processing of moulds and auxiliary equipment.
- Knowledge of engineering thermoplastic resins, processing, tooling, and troubleshooting for cosmetic surface requirements.
- Ability to problem solve plastic processing problems and defects.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
