Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.

- MidCentral District located in Palmerston North City could be the perfect place for you
MidCentral District provides an excellent grounding for Registrars looking to grow and develop their skills. There is a 14 bed neonatal unit which caters for babies from 28 weeks or 1000gms. The Children’s Ward sees a wide range of admission. Registrars participate in a range of ward, neonatal and clinic work. Tertiary support is available from Starship and includes outpatient clinics from visiting SMOs from Starship.
MidCentral District is approved for all 3 years of basic training and 1 year of advanced training.
