About the opportunity
Reporting to the Irrigation Team Leader, the L7 Operator will provide key support to operators across a wide range of tasks, from operating aspects of the wastewater treatment system, though to leading improvement initiatives. You will multitask across the site-based storm water and wastewater treatment systems as well as the irrigation farms in the local area.
The waste treatment currently consists of a DAF and SBR plant and you will be supervising fixed and pod irrigation systems while ensuring you are following the Resource Consent monitoring and reporting requirements. A new waste water treatment plant is planned for 2025 and the integration of the new plant into the existing processes will also be a part of this role.
Your contribution to the team will include confidently coordinating and operating multiple parts of treatment systems, as well as having strong

- Organising and assigning team members including roster planning and training
- Compliance sampling and monitoring and focusing on health and safety
- Process improvement and reviewing standard operating procedures
- Supporting with the development and roll out of new strategies & projects

Please note hours of work are Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm with occasional weekend work.
Flexibility in work hours is possible, working in with the ITL.
