**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**
An exciting opportunity has been created in our innovative and expanding nurse-led cardiology service. We are looking for motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist Registered Nurse Prescribers (or on a pathway to prescribe) to join our team to lead our revamped heart heath and recovery programme (formerly cardiac rehabilitation). The Clinical Nurse Specialists will work alongside a team to provide expert care to patients and their whānau with cardiac conditions, with a specific focus education and follow up care following an acute coronary event.
The Clinical Nurse Specialists, will join a team of specialist nurses and will be integral in leading and expanding heart health and recovery nurse-led services to improve patient and whānau care across the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley district. As a regional provider for interventional cardiology, the CNS will work alongside the team in the Heart and Lung Unit at Wellington Hospital to facilitate patient education, comprehensive discharge planning arrange ongoing nurse-led follow up care for patients and their whānau as they return home.
