**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- Undertake requests for spatial information and provide outputs in a variety of formats (such as map production and data provision) to various internal and external customers.
- Carry out spatial analysis to meet the information needs of various internal and external customers.
- Maintain and create relevant data sets and metadata to Waikato Regional Council standards.
- Provide backup support for Spatial Information and Data Management Team members as required.
- Provide Spatial Information support for corporate and/or regional collaboration projects requiring spatial analysis, as required.

- Able to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the achievement of shared objectives.

**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, geography, computer science or information technology or 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstratable knowledge, experience and understanding of ArcGIS products.
- Proven knowledge and experience of Office 365.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Proven success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- Political awareness and skill in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.

- You will be part of a talented team made up of Spatial Analysts and Data Management Analysts who have a great can-do attitude, team spirit and a sense of fun.
- The team sits within the Spatial Information Section.
