Opportunities exist for exposure to all aspects of head and neck surgery with an emphasis on advanced thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland surgery, advanced or metastatic skin cancer, facial plastics, oral cavity cancer, laryngology, transoral oropharyngeal surgery, and locoregional flap reconstruction. North Shore Hospital is the first public hospital in New Zealand to acquire a Da Vinci surgical robot and plans are underway to establish New Zealand's first public TORS service. Participation in regular audit is expected, and opportunities exist for clinical research.
The clinic offers a full range of ORL assessments and adult diagnostic services, including a multidisciplinary Neck Lump Clinic and Rapid Access Voice and Swallowing Clinic - including experience in transnasal oesophagoscopy and in-office LASER procedures. You will work closely with other health professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists, and the ORL Specialty Nurse and Cancer Nurse Specialist team.

- a) have successfully completed training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery with a minimum qualification of FRACS or equivalent (FRCS, FRCSC etc.),
- c) have English language skills sufficient to pass the IELTS English language test.
